Cinnamon French Toast

Cinnamon French toast just screams breakfast food. It's crispy on the outside, custard like in the center, and topped with Amber color maple syrup..YUM! This recipe is simple and truly delicious...its perfect for on-the-go individuals.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk or heavy cream
  • 1ΒΌ tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 8 Thick slices of bread
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter

Instructions
 

  • In a shallow pan combine the following: eggs, brown sugar, milk, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and pure vanilla extract. Whisk together and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Drip the bread into the egg mixture. Next fry the slices until golden brown, then flip to cook the other side.
  • Serve hot with maple syrup.
