Guacamole is one of those things that is great for any reason. Because it’s Taco Tuesday or game day or party time….you name it! There’s always a reason to include this dip into the mix.

And trust me when I say this guac is everything and a bag of chips!

Let’s talk Guac…

R&D (which stands for research and development) is taken very seriously here at Dulcet. So long story short….we tested over 50 different guacamoles from restaurants and google search recipes. And made nearly 20 different variations to the recipe we are sharing below. Our personal preference with guac has a combination of chunky-ness, smoothness, and touch of spiciness. How do we accomplish chunky and smooth? By using a mixture of both ripe and semi-ripe avocados. We kept the traditional alive and went with the classic white onion for a sharp bite.

So let’s end this section with a simple fact! The greatest addition to a recipe will always be fresh ingredients and seasoning!

guacamole and tortilla chips in a bowl outside

Quick Tip

When making this particular guacamole we highly suggest the use of thick tortilla chips. The thin chips just can’t handle all this goodness. If you do not have the time nor patients to first make fresh tortillas. Then cut them into cute triangles for frying…..Here’s a short list of pre-packaged tortillas that can handle our guac:

Making Our Guacamole

Ready to make it? First, slice all the avocados in half and remove the pit. Next using a spoon scoop out the avocado into a large bowl. Mash the avocados and then squeeze fresh lime juice into the bowl. Add in the chopped onions, jalapenos, and cilantro. Stir well. Season to taste. Lastly before serving add in the diced tomatoes. Enjoy!
