Hot Sauce..Hot Sauce…Read all about it…
In this recipe, hot sauce is used as a base to create that hot liquid sauce. But what’s in the hot sauce? Normally, hot sauce consist of vinegar, salt, and chili peppers. Some hot sauces are even fermented for little extra flavor. What exactly makes chili peppers spicy? Peppers have a chemical compound called capsaicin. Believe it or not, capsaicin is actually an irritant to all mammals. For instance, when cutting a jalapeno with bare hands then touching your face immediately afterwards. Can cause some serious irritation because of the capsaicin. Same applies with eating chili based foods or hot sauces. Whenever capsaicin comes into contact with skin or tissue it causes a burning sensation.
It’s not known who actually invented hot sauce. But, Tabasco made hot sauce commercially available for restaurants and hotels back in the 19th century. Now, in today’s society there’s numerous hot sauces to choose from all created differently. Some more flavorful, others just incredibly too spicy to handle. To sum up, buffalo sauce can fit the needs of anyone.
