Is Fresh Necessary?

Well YES, it absolutely is necessary if you care what’s in your beverages. Here at Dulcet we believe Fresh ingredients are key to anything tasting good. Also, who enjoys not knowing exactly how to say the ingredients in pre-packaged food/beverage items? Not us! Making your own cranberry juice provides the opportunity to put just the right amount of sugar for your liking.

Also, if you’re entertaining non-alcoholic drinkers or kids the fresh juice along with the fresh orange and lime juice would make an awesome mocktail. We tested this theory out with a few staff members who don’t drink and they gave it the approval.

Sugared Cranberries

the cocktail with sliced limes and sugared cranberries

On to the eye candy of the drink these sugared cranberries are a smash!

There’s just something completely satisfying about sugared fruit. It’s pretty to look at and depending on the season it resembles snow. Any who…Making the garnish for this cocktail is easy peasy. First, make a simple syrup and allow to cool down for a few minutes. Next pop in an entire bag of fresh cranberries, give the mixture a quick stir. Then cover the pot and steep for 2-3 hours at room temperature. Drain the cranberries and transfer them to a parchment lined cookie sheet. Toss the cranberries and sugar together, until evenly coated. Allow the cranberries to dry in a single layer for 1-2 hours prior to use.

It may be a bit time consuming, but the end result is awesome!
